The Keri Files: An update - Keri Smith's cancel horde SWEARS they're telling the truth, but present no evidence
An update to "Keri Smith's Greatest Hits: She claims I faked my red-pill story"
When you last met your humble narrator, Keri Smith had publicly accused me (several times) of stealing my red pill story from someone named HotsyHotsyTotsy and pawning it off as my own:
I had no idea who HotsyHotsyTotsy was, but I managed to track her down to a new Twitter:
We had a very nice conversation in which she refused to provide any proof of her claim that I “faked the story as my own".”
Well, the conversation continued and it’s…fascinating. I had to post an update.
You’ve got to love the psychology of this all, if nothing else.
This article is a followup to part one of this greatest hit. New information has presented itself. But, start here to get the whole story:
I managed to figure out who this person was.
Back two months after my Trump rally article went viral (February 2020), I heard that someone in knitting world was claiming I stole her story.
You can see this happened on April 12, 2020:
It is true that I learned about the Ravelry stuff from her posts. She did great work. Her documentation was excellent. I was thinking of doing a series of videos documenting the knitting wars and thought this would be a wealth of information to pull from to help others understand what happened. She had screenshots of everything.
I never ended up doing that series. I made one video and then moved on to other stuff, and the video wasn’t about any of her stuff. It was about Karen Templar’s essay.
As you can see, I credited everything I read with links in the description, in addition to showing it on the screen:
So I thought this person claiming that I stole by story was a great resource, but I never did anything with it.
Because she had blocked me and then shitposted about me behind my back because she was annoyed I opened a t-shirt store. A mutual sent me the screengrabs:
Maize Hutton is now this DutchessofS, and so I asked her to confirm my suspicion that she was this person:
And yes! She confirmed it:
She then demanded that I provide proof that I asked her permission to share her content:
This was bizarre for a few reasons:
My Trump rally article was published in February 2020, two full months before I even became aware of Maize’s stash of receipts. My article was based on my journey. It focused on Instagram, not Ravelry.
I had never even done the series on the knitting wars I had thought about doing, so there was no possible place I could publish her content.
So this person (I don’t want to accidentally misgender, but she’s obviously a woman because only women can be this insane) told Keri Smith that I stole her work, provided exactly zero proof of that because zero proof appears to exist, and Keri ran with it and put me on blast all over twitter, defaming me to declare I had lied when she had no evidence to back up her claim, all because I remind her of her abusive mother.
Got it.
Now, before you say that I can’t hold Keri Smith responsible for the words of other people, I have to admit that is very true.
Although Keri Smith is responsible for the sources she chooses to true, and the evidence that she does not does not demand, she is NOT responsible for other people’s words.
But she is responsible for retweeting those words as if they are true:
So I’ll consider that an endorsement and a doubledown on the whole story.
Follow along to see who this Keri Smith-endorsed source is, what they believe, and what evidence they have to prove I lied.
This person is…really indicative of who Keri Smith’s cancel mob is.
I just want to let you experience it as it happened, told entirely via screenshot in the order it happened.
Let’s see who Keri Smith trusted enough to use as a source on the basis of “pinkie swear, bro” as evidence.
Let me know what you think at the end. Leave a comment. Enjoy.
This is her stopping to tell other people that every reply she gets from one of my supporters is just me with a burner account.
…ok, crazy lady.
She continues:
She attacks my supporter, and others claim it’s me:
She then tried to make it seem like I had really left the Democratic party…
…BUT SHE LEFT THE DATE OUT:
And she walked into accidentally discovering that Mike Harlow and several of his friends CAN’T talk about this stuff publicly anymore because it would conflict with the forthcoming Internal Code of Conduct by Gays Against Groomers (really impressive them putting that out - it’s a good thing).
Receipts:
Back to our conversation, where she proceeded to discuss me with other members of Keri Smith’s cancel horde.
Then she accused me of plagiarism without tellin me what I had actually plagiarized.
Remember…I never did the series on the knitting wars.
So, instead of providing receipts, she gave me the definition of plagiarism as if that answers any questions about what her issue is:
Apparently, me saying I never wrote content is proof that I actually wrote content…
And then she learned from Keri Smith to write the typical Keri expose thread, with absolutely no receipts to back up their statements.
I’ll address each accusation per tweet:
You don’t need to give permission for someone to use something they post publicly. You don’t even need to give them credit. But regardless, I never ended up producing the videos, so why does it matter?
I’ve been producing content consistently, almost every day since the article went viral. I produce more content than even my biggest fans consume.
I vaguely knew of the list but I didn’t even really know what it was. I wasn’t paying attention to Ravelry. I didn’t even know what was going on there. I was only focused on Instagram.
I didn’t use her content online at all, and she’s provided zero proof that I have.
Well she should complain about Keri Smith for that then because Keri is the one who has been lying about this for two solid years in order to smear me.
Well, as it happens, there’s a site that documents what happened:
There would be no need to have this conversation if she just provided proof of her claims against me, which has never been provided.
Asking for evidence form your accusors when they are saying you stole their work is not bullying.
If she doesn’t want to post it, fine.
But let’s not pretend there is any reason to believe her if she refuses to offer any proof that I even produced content with her work.
She sure seems to be responding to me an awful lot, while saying absolutely nothing of value.
Then she continued to talk about me even though I wasn’t responding to her because I had other stuff to do:
This is the highly credible source that Keri Smith used to spread the lie that I stole my red pill story.
I’ll still wait very patiently for the evidence to back up this claim.
If she offers anything else, I’ll publish it.
